This limited-budget accessibility upgrade removes access barriers to parking, site navigation, and entry. Due to limited space and a sloping public sidewalk, the design is charged with resolving a number of competing issues: the creation of accessibly sloped and cross-sloped paths, cross-site storm-water management, and maintenance of open sight lines (to boost both security and commerce).
New amenities include: a properly sloped, sized, striped an signed parking space; a curb ramp and widened site walk; a level landing at entry; safety railings and handrails.
